Painted in Acrylic and Oils, this collection of paintings tell the story of a Jewish woman called Rivka who survived Auschwitz and returned to Israel after the Holocaust.
Titles in clockwise order from the top: Return, Truck Stop, The Land /Harertz, Waiting, Field of Ovens, Rivka.
Guy Jones has been painting for over 30 years and finds it therapeutic and a way of expressing things that are difficult to put into words. His great grandmother was a Jewish refugee and he sees his art practice as the opportunity to give the Jewish part of him a voice. This series has been a process of 5 years work of recovery and is ongoing.
