Mural and Spoken word commission- Our Creative Lives
Building on ‘The Stories of OT to Celebrate’ postcard project delivered in Autumn 2025 as part of Our Creative Lives with Trafford Council, OT creative space has commissioned Haleema Aziz to design and deliver a new public mural and Young Identity to create some spoken word celebrating the people, stories, identity, and creativity of Old Trafford.
The original postcard project invited local residents and primary school children to share stories of what they love, value, and celebrate about Old Trafford through drawings, messages, memories, and reflections. The project gathered a rich collection of visual and written responses that captured the diversity, pride, culture, and everyday experiences of the local community.
The Mural – We are the people – can be seen at the junction between Shrewsbury street at Brooks bar. Scan the QR code at the site to hear the spoken word.
