The CansurviveUK “Many Hands” Commission.

Creative printmaking art therapy workshop sessions were inspired by British, African and Caribbean Heritage for an exhibition at The Whitworth for Black History Month 2022.

These were held over eight consecutive monthly sessions during the weekly 1-3pm COFFEE, CHAT AND CREATE session for CansurviveUK at the Kath Locke Centre, facilitated by Donna Michelle Griffith @michi_don_griffith @iprint_donmigri @portable_printmaking_studio as the lead artist and Rachel Harper @heal_thy_cells with the North Manchester CansurviveUK support group at Number 93 Church Lane in Harpurhey.

As the sessions progressed the service users confidence grew using equipment, materials and tools provided. Proudly and boldly achieving a perfect display of relief prints each and every time.

“I am honoured to be a part of these creative therapy workshops with such brave and inspiring individuals …

As they say … “Many hands make light work!!
