Joanne Buckley
Artist, Joanne Buckley, reignited her passion for creating art in 2022 after taking part in Trafford Carers: Care Creative project (run by artist Samina Bukhari). This year Joanne decided to focus on her own personal practice, entitled Fade to Grey, with continued mentorship from Samina.

Inspired by her decision to stop dyeing her hair during the pandemic; Fade to Grey, was a cathartic journey of self-acceptance for the artist- dissecting & reconstructing the societal expectations of youth placed on our ever changing, ageing bodies.
Using a multimedia pallette of digital art, lino-printing, paint, and collage the Artist was able to accomplish this high resolution, neon, pop-art inspired collection. Fade to Grey invites the viewer to rethink the superficial aspects of ageing to embrace themselves at every stage of life.
