Drawings and Paintings by Wingyu Yeung

“Timeless Bond” celebrates the enduring ties that anchor us—bonds that transcend grief, distance, and even mortality. This exhibition focuses on the unbreakable nature of these connections, exploring the relationships that provide shelter, resilience, and meaning as they shape our identities. The profound bond I share with my late daughter, my other children, my parents, and my cultural roots forms the emotional thread woven throughout this collection.

Each piece invites viewers to reflect on their own timeless connections—those that endure through life’s shifting seasons of joy and sorrow. Through paintings of familial tenderness, symbolic landscapes, and expressive moments of love and loss, the works portray how these relationships sustain us through life’s transformations. Each piece echoes the themes of “Somewhere, We Remember,” but now with a renewed sense of resolution, healing, and hope.

Wingyu is an artist and mother of four, originally from Hong Kong and now based in Manchester. Her love for painting began in childhood, and she worked as a graphic designer before becoming a full-time mother. Her second daughter was born with microcephaly and blindness, and despite the challenges, their strong and loving family endured.
