Cyanotypes by Lisa Blake

This series of cyanotypes captures flowers and foliage gathered during walks from Fallowfield to my studio in Old Trafford. These daily walks through streets and parks have become quiet rituals—moments of pause, reflection, and connection with the natural world.

Working with cyanotype allows me to slow down and focus deeply. It’s a meditative process—almost magical—where the everyday transforms into something luminous and timeless. In these prints, I hope to reveal the overlooked beauty in the most ordinary things: a leaf, a stem, a shadow.

We are surrounded by subtle wonders, often unnoticed in the rush of daily life. Through this work, I invite the viewer to see nature anew—to observe closely, to find calm in detail, and to appreciate the quiet elegance that exists all around us.
