Roll Up, Roll Up is an installation of kaleidoscopic abstraction containing over 70 individual pieces of acrylic paint on paper. It moves away from the traditional forms of gallery display and takes the shop window as inspiration to present the works in a maximalist fashion to attract the attention of the passer by, with the use of the cardboard rolls a reference to the sale of cloth and other such materials, the intentional juxtaposing of the work creates new eye candy for the casual window shopper to explore and enjoy. Everything is for sale.
Richard Ward is a resident studio artist at OT creative space. He is has previously exhibited at PS Mirabel and Station South.
