About the Mural

During Venessa Scott’s artist residency at Seymour Park Primary School, this mural, which incorporates art created by children and staff in workshops, was created to brighten up an otherwise dreary area of the playground. Yellows and oranges form the base of the mural beneath brightly coloured loose forms of children fill the wall.
About the Artist

Venessa Scott is a public artist and specialist in Creative Education, who designed and painted one of the UK’s tallest murals. You can also find Venessa on the popular CBBC series; Colours where she helps children discover and explore colour thought art.
“Combining different techniques allowed the children to be free and let their sense of fun and creativity flow in their work, something that many had missed during the lockdown restrictions. It was a joy to see the uniqueness and creativity of each student blossoming.”
