About the Mural
In this Mural Qubek has been inspired by community responses to the history of Old Trafford and the strawberry fields that were once here alongside the Botanical Gardens that used to be at White City and the exhibition hall that was built to house the Art Treasures exhibition in 1857. The birds and butterflies represent the people of Old Trafford.
About the Artist
Russ Meehan aka Qubek is a street artist and muralist whose work can be seen across Manchester and further afield, including many bees!
