A series of 4 Iconic Black British women Oil paintings
My work is primarily painting. It is about being Black, British and female, showcasing Black females as strong, independant, beautiful women in their own right. My Paintings capture the strength and resilience of these women who have all succeeded in their respective industries despite all the obstacles in their way.

I focus on portraying Black British Women- women like Claudia Jones (founder of the Notting Hill carnival), Lynette Yiadom-Boakye (painter), Judi Love (comedian and presenter), Zadie Smith (Novelist) who have all had a positive effect on my work and are on display here. It was important to me to paint these successful Black women and celebrate our worth as Black British females.
