To celebrate Open Gardens Old Trafford happening on Sunday 7th July we have embraced all things nature and are very proud to present our first open call exhibition in The Window.
We are delighted to exhibit work from 5 local artists across a variety of mediums and also display a piece created by a community art group.
The Artists:
Steve Black
Steve is a local photographer who specialises in close up shots of flowers and plant life, many of the images taken in his own garden.

Karen Prince
Karen is a textile and embroidery Artist and is displaying an impressive amount of hoops embroidered with all sorts of flowers. The textiles used are also printed by Karen.

Stacey Newman
Stacey is a local visual artist who works with photography and drawing. For this exhibition she is presenting an image of a rose taken in California, USA.

Lynda is a visual artist and founder of OT creative SPACE. The work on display for this exhibition are four images that are part of a series #urbangrowth looking at nature and beauty in surprising urban locations .

Old Trafford Wellbeing centre arts and craft group
The Old Trafford Wellbeing centre arts and craft group have created this wonderful crocheted bicycle complete with lots of different creatures attached to it.
They meet on wednesday afternoons 1-3pm at The Old Trafford Wellbeing centre.
We are very pleased to have this piece on display.
Open Gardens OT
Open gardens hosted by Love Old Trafford is back again for the third time with 29 gardens and green spaces for you to view. Purchase your programmes from Bottletops on Ayres road, St Johns centre on st Johns road or Chorlton bookshop.
THE BACK gALLErY at Open Gardens
THE BACK gALLErY which is situated in an alley directly behind OT creative SPACE is joining in the Open Gardens fun and hosting a creative workshop between 2 and 4pm on 7th July where you can turn up and make a macrame plant hanger from an old T-shirt.
THE BACK gALLErY will also be displaying a new exhibition by Artist Oliver East so do make sure you pop by. There is lots to see!
